Welcome to my first-ever blog post, I hope you will enjoy it!

Jim and I are cultivating a retreat space for you to come and just be your authentic self. A space to rest your body, reset your mind, and recharge your spirit. Where slowing down and being mindful is always encouraged so that you can experience everyday abundance.

What the heck is everyday abundance?

Everyday abundance is the idea that abundance can be found and experienced in the small, everyday moments of life. It’s about cultivating an attitude of gratitude and recognizing the beauty and richness of the present moment. It’s about finding joy and contentment in the simple things in life, such as spending time with loved ones or taking a walk in nature.

Rest, Reset, and Recharge

Resting your body is essential for maintaining good physical and mental health. It allows your body to repair and rejuvenate itself and helps reduce stress and fatigue.

Resetting your mind is an important aspect of maintaining good mental health and well-being. It can help reduce stress, improve focus and concentration, and promote a sense of inner peace.

Recharging your spirit is about nourishing and rejuvenating the deeper aspects of yourself, such as your values, beliefs, and sense of purpose. It’s about connecting with something greater than yourself and finding meaning and fulfillment in life.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the practice of being present—in the moment—paying attention to your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings with focused attention, open awareness, and kind intention. It can help reduce stress and increase feelings of well-being.

So go ahead, give yourself permission to take a break! Take a nap in our hammocks, find a quiet place in our forest to read your book, or simply just sit outside and enjoy watching our cute cows munch grass and marvel at the highest tides in the world!

Merry part and merry meet again,
Heidi

P.S. If you want to learn more, the book Simple Abundance: 365 Days to a Balanced and Joyful Life (2019) by Sarah Ban Breathnach is a great read! Sarah's work celebrates quiet joys, simple pleasures, and well-spent moments and reminds us how to find beauty in the everyday.
