Frequently asked questions.
Where are you located?
Evidently, no system or company can decide where we live.
Canada Post says one thing, Google another. Worry not, either way, we’ll be here when you find your way to 3265 Highway 215… whether your map says Noel, Moose Brook, or Walton.
How far away are you from the airport?
We are a 48-minute drive to the Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
What time is check-in/check-out, and what is the procedure?
Check-in is between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
Check-out is 11:00 AM.
When you arrive, please stop at our house. One of us will meet you there and show you to your cabin.
What happens if we need to check-in later than 6:00 PM?
Please let us know as soon as possible if this is the case by sending Heidi a text at 902-305-6488. We will do our best to still be available to show you to your cabin. If this is not possible, Heidi will send you self-check-in instructions.
Is it possible to check-in earlier than 3:00 PM and/or stay longer than the 11:00 AM check-out?
If it is possible, we will certainly do our best to accommodate you! ☺
What is the maximum occupancy of each cabin?
Each cabin can accommodate four (4) people.
What is the maximum occupancy of the cottage?
The cottage can accommodate six (6) people.
Are you pet friendly?
Of course, we are! Check out our Pet Policy here.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes, we do. Our network name and password for guests are in the purple binder in your cabin or cottage.
Are visitors allowed at the property?
Yes, but you must let Heidi know. They may visit but are not to stay overnight.
Do you provide firewood?
Yes, we provide a complimentary bin of firewood for your first night's stay. If you require more firewood, please see purple binder for instructions.
Can I still have a campfire if there is a fire ban? How do I find out if there is a fire ban?
Unfortunately, you cannot have a campfire if there is a fire ban in place. Please check NovaScotia Burnsafe website before having a campfire.
Do you have access to the ocean floor from your property?
Unfortunately, no. But the good news is that Burntcoat Head Park is only a 6-minute drive!
How far is Burntcoat Head Park from your property?
It is only a short 6-minute drive!
When is it high tide? When is it low tide?
There are two high tides and two low tides every day, approximately every 6 hours and 13 minutes apart.
To plan when to walk the ocean floor and when to sit back on your cabin porch with a refreshing drink and marvel at one of the Seven Natural Wonders of North America, check the tide schedule here or here. Or, if you really want to geek out, consider downloading the app Tides Near Me.
