Rest Your Body, Reset Your Mind, Recharge Your Spirit

Tucked away where the Bay of Fundy narrows into the Minas Basin, overlooking Burntcoat Head Park and Five Islands, you will find our sacred place. We watch the sun rise and set; the moon wax and wane, over 65 acres of land. Revelling in cliff views of the red clay home to the highest tides in the world, we soak up forest trails, and savour the sea air—we are spellbound.

A space that called to us across the country, we've come to Nova Scotia to make a home, rest, and grow roots. When we arrived, we sighed deeply. Feeling a sense of calm and peace, we'd not felt in so long. We want to share that sigh with you.

A place where the weary wanderers come
to rest their bodies, reset their minds, recharge their spirits

Ravens Rest Retreat is a dream in the making for both of us.

Our Retreat has been created to balance intentional living with our love of the earth, water, wildlife, companion animals, and community. We recognize our privilege and aspire to be respectful and appreciative of the natural abundance we are honoured to share and experience with you.

A space meant for deep breaths and long sighs

We've heard it all before. We need to unplug. We must step away from our computers, phones, and social media—the works. Anyone who has consciously tried to "disconnect" knows it is easier said than done. We can think, "I'm going to do this. This time it sticks!" But these habits are worn paths in our bodies. We are waiting in line; we reach for our phones. We are home; we go for the remote.

If we pause to listen to our body, we may not know which precise moment, conflict, or worry caused the pull in our back, the stiffness in our neck, or the ache in our jaw. They just do. If we get honest with ourselves, there comes a time when we allow these bodily sensations: tension, aches, twinges of pain, to blend in—normalize. They are so persistent and present that they are a part of us now, like skin or hair.

We forget what it's like to physically feel at ease

You rarely allow yourself to slow down—stop and listen to your body. Its screams for rest have turned into a low mumble after being dismissed so many times.

By placing yourself in a space that models slow, intentional movement, your body seeks to match the pace.

“If you’re looking for a place to get away from the noise,
just be present in the moment,
this is the place.

Heather, Digby, Nova Scotia

When we place our bodies in a space that encourages us to slow down, to relax our physical bodies and sensations, we make space for our minds to do the same. At our Retreat, we foster the quiet serenity that comes with this particular spot, on this particular land, on this particular corner of the universe.

When searching for the place where we would set our roots, we intentionally sought a space away from the hustle and bustle. Somewhere that the metropolis hasn’t touched. Out of reach of the sounds and sensations of the city.

Amazing place to stay! The grounds are magical and the view of Bay of Fundy is truly unique. The cabins are clean, cozy, and modern.
Just book!!! You won't regret it.
